How Hawx Rodent Exclusion Works
Interior Inspection
Hawx technicians check kitchens, pantries, utility rooms, closets, storage areas, basements, attics, and spaces around appliances, looking for droppings, urine traces, nesting materials, gnaw marks, rub marks, and holes.
Exterior Inspection
Outside, the inspection focuses on where rodents can squeeze in, including gaps around doors and windows, utility boxes, eaves, HVAC lines, crawl space vents, siding corners, basement entry points, window wells, damaged screens, and roof access points.
Hawx may also recommend simple changes around the property, like moving wood piles away from the home or trimming branches away from the roof to reduce access and nesting opportunities. Once the inspection is complete, Hawx will explain what was found and recommend the right next steps. In some cases, exclusion is paired with trapping to address any active rodent activity inside your home.

Every property is different. Exclusion work is based on what Hawx finds during the inspection. Depending on your home, recommended repairs may include:

Please note: Rodent exclusion is focused on helping seal the structure against mice and rats. Some repairs may also improve visible damage, but Hawx does not perform finish work such as painting, texturing, or cosmetic wall finishing.
