WHO WE ARE

Hawx Pest Control is the undisputed leader in pest control solutions across the United States. In 2013, Hawx was founded by Scott Wilson and Matt Mehr as a customer-centric pest control company capable of changing industry norms and offering unparalleled service.

In December 2013, Scott and Matt set up their first shop in a rural location in Far West, Utah. Driven by the “How Hard Can It Be” mentality, they dove head-first into finding innovative and dedicated ways to hit the ground running.

Scott and Matt eventually partnered with JK Gleave, who brought industry experience that allowed the growing team to focus on taking their services to the next level and expanding even further. Their optimism and hard work paid off, allowing them to successfully scale from one to five locations in their first three years. 

By 2020, Hawx had 15 locations after moving into California, Texas, and across the South. In 2018, they surpassed a quarter of a million accounts serviced. This number skyrocketed to half a million accounts by the end of 2019, and finally, one million accounts in April 2020.

Today, Hawx Pest Control focuses on unparalleled service. We hire the right people at every level of the company to provide you with the best services in pest control. OUR BIG MOMENTS

Hawx has had many significant milestones along the way that helped shape the company we’ve become. Here are a few of our proudest moments: 

  • 2013: Hawx Services, LLC is founded by Matt Mehr and Scott Wilson. Our first account is serviced in December.
  • 2015: We make our first executive hire, and JK Gleave joins the team. We enter the Midwest via Indianapolis.
  • 2016: As our midwest growth increases, we expand into St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Chicago.
  • 2017: We continue to scale, expanding into California and Texas, and our D2D Sales Force surpasses 200.
  • 2018: 250,000 total accounts serviced by May. Hawx moves to its current corporate headquarters in Ogden, Utah.
  • 2019: 500,000 total accounts serviced by May.
  • 2020: 1 million total accounts serviced by April.
  • 2021: Mike Paulus acquires Hawx with plans to expedite rapid growth by Spring. We bring in a wave of new talent, including Dan Baldwin and Scott Broaddus, and open new departments in marketing, inside sales, and L&D.
